Why Picosa exists

Built for the kind of experience we believe beauty should be.

Calm enough to ask every question. Professional enough to earn your trust. Personal enough to remember what brought you here.

Picosa was created as a more intentional alternative to the traditional studio experience—one where artistry and clinical care are never separated, and no one has to choose between elevated aesthetics and uncompromising safety.

The heart behind Picosa

Picosa was built from healing.

What began as survival became purpose. Through art, faith, determination, and years of rebuilding, Bella created the kind of studio where people could feel safe enough to transform.

Bella built Picosa Ink from the ground up as a single mother of two. Her children remain at the center of her life: a bold daughter who keeps her laughing and a curious, kindhearted son who continually reminds her to see the world differently. Motherhood shaped the patience, honesty, and care she now brings to every client and student.

Art has always been Bella’s first language. Long before tattooing, she trained in classical music and studied fine arts, developing the discipline, steady hand, and eye for detail that define her work today. She has now completed more than 1,000 tattoos, but still approaches every piece as something personal rather than routine.

Her training includes intensive Fine Line Master education and certification as a paramedical tattoo practitioner. Studying scars, sensitive skin, and the way the body heals deepened her conviction that body art should be grounded in compassion as much as technique. Although Picosa now focuses exclusively on fine-line tattoos and professional piercings, that skin-first education continues to shape the standard of care throughout the studio.

Bella continues to study with master artists and created Picosa Ink Academy because the intentional, hands-on education she needed did not exist in Northern Colorado when she began. The studio and the academy are both expressions of the same belief: people deserve to feel safe, heard, educated, confident, respected, and proud.
